Information you provide
When you purchase or contact us, we may collect:
- Email address

- Country or server location selected
- Any information you provide in support requests
Usage metadata (operational data)
To provide, maintain, and improve the service, we automatically store limited technical information about your account, including:
- Total data transferred (upload and download, measured in MB/GB)
- Timestamp of your last connection to the VPN (LAST_SEEN)
- Number of devices connected to your account
- Date and time of account creation
- Virtual IP address assigned to each device (internal to our network)
This data is NOT linked to your online activity. We do not know which websites you visit, which files you download, or which services you use while connected to dzugg VPN.
We only use this metadata for:
- Detecting and preventing abuse (e.g., unusually high bandwidth consumption)
- Maintaining network stability and performance
- Providing customer support (e.g., troubleshooting connection issues)
- Billing and account management
Payment information
Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
We do not store your credit card details.
Stripe may process payment information according to their own privacy policy.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. VPN privacy
dzugg is designed with privacy in mind.
We do not monitor or inspect the content of user traffic passing through our VPN servers.
We aim to minimize data collection and only process the information necessary to provide the service.

Our website may use limited cookies for:

- Anonymous statistics (if enabled)
- Security purposes
- You can manage cookie preferences through our cookie consent banner.
6. Data retention
We apply data minimization principles and retain data only as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal obligations.
Currently, we apply the following temporary retention limits:
- Usage metadata (bandwidth totals, last connection timestamp, virtual IPs): stored for the duration of your active subscription.
- Email and billing information: stored while your account is active.
- Technical logs: automatically rotated every 30 days.
We commit to the following:
- If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 60 days of your request.
- We will never retain usage metadata after account closure unless required by law.
- Within 6 months, we will publish a complete data retention policy with specific timeframes.
Inactive accounts: Accounts with no VPN activity for 12 consecutive months will be considered abandoned. We will notify you by email 30 days before deletion.

We may use trusted third-party providers including:

These providers only process data necessary to perform their services.

What we can disclose: If we receive a valid legal request, the information we hold about a specific user may include:

- Account creation date
- Total data transferred (upload/download volume)
- Timestamp of last connection
- Payment status (active/inactive)
- Virtual IP addresses assigned internally
What we CANNOT disclose (because we do not store it):
- Your real IP address (We do not store or retain this information)
- Websites you visit or files you download
- DNS queries you make
- Content of your internet traffic
- Destination IP addresses or domains you connect to
We will only disclose the minimum information strictly required by law. We will notify affected users of legal requests unless prohibited by law (e.g., gag orders).
Note for users: Because we are a Spanish company operating under EU law, we receive legal requests through formal judicial channels. We are not able to provide information we do not possess.
