Imagine you are sending a secret note to your best friend in class.
You fold it up, but you don’t have an envelope. You have to pass it through five different kids to reach your friend.
What happens?
- The first kid reads it.
- The second kid makes a copy of it.
- The third kid tells the teacher what you wrote.
By the time your friend gets the note, everybody knows your secret. That is exactly how the internet works without a VPN. Your “note” (your photos, your searches, your data) is flying around for everyone to see.
That is “Data in Flight.”
